Solutions Center’s mission is to provide safety, offer support and restore hope to those affected by domestic abuse and homelessness.
Solutions Center Shelter & Support Services came together in 2007 as a collaboration of Bethany House, a homeless shelter serving the Fond du Lac area since 1989, and F.A.V.R. (Friends Aware of Violent Relationships), a domestic abuse shelter serving abuse victims since 1982. Solutions Center is the only homeless and domestic violence shelter in Fond du Lac County, and serves 50 people per night on the average. Solutions Center has been providing free and confidential services for over 30 years.
The campus consists of a women’s shelter that houses 24 women and children, a men’s shelter that houses 15 men and children, a warming shelter (open from 6 p.m. until 8 a.m. daily, Nov. 1 through March 31) that provides a nightly warm place to sleep for 16 adults, and a family shelter that has the capacity to house a family of 8.
Solutions Center offers therapy for children and adults suffering from abuse. A Child and Teen Advocate helps educate on healthy relationships.
Solutions Center relies heavily on donations to provide life-saving programs and services.
