HELP FOR THE HOMELESS (Feb. 21-March 21)

Solutions Center Shelter and Support Services needs area businesses, schools, churches etc. to participate in WEMI & WEMY Radio 18^th Annual Help for the Homeless campaign, Feb.  21–March 21. 

Last year, 40 local collection sites donated $8,700 worth of toiletry and cleaning products to seven local agencies, including us! (Requested items include laundry detergent, garbage bags, cleaning supplies, diapers and baby care, tissue, dental and hair care, etc.) Your participation will make a very practical and helpful difference to us because it will help us concentrate our limited financial resources on providing qualified staff, safe housing, nutritious food, education, and counseling to those we serve.

Is there a break room or lunch room in your workplace that might be the perfect location for a collection box? This is also a great outreach activity for schools, churches, and clubs. How about a little friendly competition between departments at your office? Just call us at 923-1743 and we’ll make sure a collection box is delivered to you by Feb. 21. We’ll also see that it’s picked up again on or before March  25. We’ve made this very easy!
